    Instructional Platform

    Live instruction will be given via Google Meets daily beginning at 8:15 AM - The link for Google Meet will always be available in the Google Classroom.

    Virtual instruction and supplemental materials will be posted in the Google Classroom and will include recorded lessons and Google slide presentations along with Mystery Science, You tube, Brain Pop,  Khan Academy, and other resources as appropriate.

    Assignments

    Assignments will be posted in the Google Classroom, under the main tab labeled "Classwork”. 

    To complete assignments students will need to access the following through Classlink:

    • Google Classroom
    • ConnectED Wonders Language Arts
    • Savvas EasyBridge Math
    • Prodigy Math Game
    • Flipgrid
    • Brainpop
    • Kahoot
    • Other resources as appropriate

    Workbook and Written assignments for practice will be reviewed during live instruction. Students need to be prepared to share responses.

    During the first weeks of school, students will be instructed on how to access and use these resources.

    Assessments

    Assessments will be assigned on ConnectEd Wonders (English Language Arts) and Savvas Easy Bridge (mathematics) and through the Google Classroom. Language Arts assessments will usually be assigned at the end of the week and at the end of a Unit.) Math assessments will be assigned at the end of the topic. Writing, Science, and Social Studies will be assigned as units are completed. All assessments will be announced in advance and there will be a variety of different assessment tools including Kahoot Challenges, Flipgrids, Games, Google Slide presentations etc.

    Feedback

    Feedback will be given to students through Savvas Easybridge, ConnectED, Aeries Parent Portal, and Google comments, when applicable.

    • Savvas Easy Bridge provides automatic feedback on Digital Quick Checks and grades are posted on the Google Classroom assignment.
    • Math Topic tests feedback and grade will be given through the Google Classroom after completion.
    • ConnectEd (Wonders) will have a combination of feedback. Live instruction feedback will be provided via comments in Google Meet or on Google Classroom assignments, all other feedback will be on assignments in ConnectEd (assessments)
    • Writing, Science, and Social Studies feedback will be given through the Google Classroom.

    Graded assignments will appear in Aeries after a reasonable time for grading and input.

    Grading Criteria

    Students who recieve a....

    4 – Excelling...have an in-depth understanding of grade level performance standards     

                           expected at this point of the school year.

    3 – Achieving…are consistently meeting the grade level performance standards expected

                           at this point of the school year.

    2 – Progressing…are partially meeting the grade level performance standards expected

                           at this point of the school year.

    1 – Beginning/Not Met...are not yet meeting grade level performance standards

                            expected at this point of the school year. 

    Grades will be posted in Aeries. Parents may view the current grades of their student in the Aeries parent portal. Specific assignments not yet recorded can be viewed with their student on the appropriate platform.
