Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Kuklinski

Hello! Welcome to Mrs. Kuklinski's English Class! I am excited and proud to be teaching in my 7th year at Townsend. I grew up in Orange County, CA and went to school at CSU Long Beach and Webster University where I studied Theater Arts Stage Management and Business Management, respectively.  I completed my teaching credential and Master's Degree at UC Irvine with an emphasis on English and Secondary Education.  It was there that I nurtured my calling to educate and prepare young people for the future by helping them develop the necessary, and very important communication skills that they will need to succeed in life.  Since completing my studies, I've worked with students of all ages and backgrounds, and all skill levels and subjects.  What I bring to the classroom is a diverse academic and professional background, patience, knowledge and an understanding of what it takes for students to be great and excel academically.  My purpose is to teach and support my students as they learn and grow academically and socially.  I believe in being available to offer help and support, both during class and office hours.  My philosophy is that, with effort and resilience, all students can accomplish great things.  Although challenging at times, my lessons and classroom management style help students learn important standards, improve English Language skills, critical thinking skills, speaking, collaboration, and communication skills.  Students get a chance to practice 21st century skills (digital literacy, communication, problem-solving, and reasoning) all while building good habits. My purpose and the reason why I am an educator is that I want to educate students, help students become great ommunicators and helps students become great people.  In addition to one-on-one support in the classroom, I can be reached via email, after school, and by appointment, online office hours to answer questions and give students additional guidance.  I am looking forward to a great year with all of you.
