Supervision of students begins at 8:30 AM.

For the safety of our children, they should not arrive before that time. Any arrivals prior to that time will be unsupervised. Also, please encourage your students to wait (not
play) behind the yellow line until supervision arrives. Regardless of the time students should not enter the school or playground until one of our supervisors or staff members invites them on. Wickman is growing and with the higher student population we are also expecting proportionally more vehicles at the start and end of the school day. We need your help with the following:

    • Please follow the flow of traffic - every short cut that you take causes a delay for somebody else.
    • Please follow the directions of staff members that are trying to help you get your children in and out of parking lot safely and efficiently
    • Please remember Do Not get out of your car in the drop-off/pick-up lane.
    • Please do not cross the street in the middle of traffic – be a good model for your children by using the crosswalk
    • Please pull as far forward as traffic allows before picking-up or dropping-off your children.

Also, please use as much of the sidewalk area adjacent to the school as traffic allows. Parents may park in any open (non-staff) parking space in the parking lot and then walk to the sidewalk area to pick up their children, using the crosswalk. In the parking lot, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Again, child safety is our most important concern. Please plan ahead for the typical traffic congestion in front of our school. On-time school attendance is as important as regular school attendance. Please use sidewalks to enter/exit the school without crossing the entrance or exit. Please remember that child safety far outweighs the inconvenience. Thank you for your cooperation. NO DOUBLE PARKING ON Soquel Canyon or in the school parking lot. In addition to all of the above, please be aware that the first couple of weeks of school are even more crowded than “normal” because our new families are learning the system. Let’s be patient... thank you for your support.
