    DON ANTONIO LUGO HIGH SCHOOL AWARDED PBIS BRONZE LEVEL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FROM THE CALIFORNIA PBIS COALITION

    Chino, CA – Don Antonio Lugo High School was awarded the Bronze Level Award by the California PBIS Coalition for their successful implementation of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) during the 2018-2019 school year. The award reflects excellence in the measurement of fidelity as well as the efforts implementing the core features of PBIS. The school was notified on September 1, and is now displaying the award on the school’s homepage.

    “I am so proud of the work that has been done by our teachers, staff, and students in earning our Bronze award,” announced Principal, Dr. Kimberly Cabrera. “This award is evident of the dedication that our school has to a positive culture.”

    Don Lugo is being recognized at the 4th Annual California PBIS Conference in Sacramento on October 28-29, 2019. Each school’s name is displayed on the California PBIS Coalition website HERE.

    The California PBIS Coalition promotes and supports a network for State Education Leaders, County Offices, School Districts, and Schools that are implementing multi-tier frameworks of PBIS that support students, families, and communities achieve desired academic, behavior, and social-emotional outcomes at the school site.     The PBIS Team at Don Lugo now has their sights set on the silver award and is continuing their implementation of PBIS for the 2019-2020 school year.
