Announcements

  • We are now two-thirds of the way through this very challenging school year.  The 3rd trimester is the most important one of the school year as it is the opportunity for students to show their full potential.  It is also important for 7th graders as it will affect the activities and classes that they are interested in for the 8th grade.  It is most important for the 8th graders as they will now be entering high school and the 3rd trimester grades will have a significant impact on their schedule.  Wave

  • The 3rd Trimester:

You should be checking the Aeries Parent and Student Portal regularly to see the progress of your student and to work with them to help them achieve their academic goals not only for the trimester but for the school year 2020-2021.

  • Update:  I will continue to use the same grading policy that I began in the 2nd trimester.  There will be the initial Due Date for Full Credit then the Final Due Date for Late Credit; at which point the assignment will then expire and any student not turning in the work will get a 0% grade.

  • I want to welcome you to the new 2020-2021 school year.  We will have some interesting challenges as we navigate this virtual environment and I look forward to working with each student and their family to help provide them for their academic future. The Chino Valley Unified School District is committed to providing all of their students with a consistent and appropriate education which will be in a virtual mode for the school year until and unless we are able to return back to the classroom.  Please take the time to regularly check my classroom page for updates. Thank you for your patience and understanding.  Please feel free to contact (check the contact tab) the school with any questions/concerns as we move forward into the school year.

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Smith
