Ayala, Chino Hills, and Chino High Schools Recognized in the 2023/24 Best High Schools Rankings

Weighing scores across six indicators of school quality, U.S. News & World Report ranked approximately 17,680 public high schools out of nearly 25,000 reviewed that have a 12th grade enrollment of 15 students or greater. In the end, we are proud to share that Ayala High School ranked 280, Chino Hills High School ranked 304, and Chino High School ranked 837! The six indicators used in the program’s methodology include college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rate.

According to U.S. News & World Report, “A great high school educates all students from different social and economic backgrounds, exposing them to challenging coursework on the path to graduation. The highest ranked U.S. public schools in U.S. News & World Report's 2023-2024 Best High Schools Rankings are those whose students demonstrated outstanding outcomes above expectations in math, reading and science state assessments, earned qualifying scores in an array of college-level exams, and graduated in high proportions.”

“The numerous accolades that CVUSD schools have enjoyed this year are testament to the exceptional instruction taking place in the classroom and the devotion of staff to help each student reach their full potential. We have exceptional scholars, and I am excited to see the fruits of their labor being appropriately recognized for all to see,” shared CVUSD Superintendent Norm Enfield.

Congratulations, Ayala, Chino Hills, and Chino staff for earning recognition for your leadership and commitment to supporting student achievement!
