Golden Bell Awards reflect the depth and breadth of education programs!

As the oldest and most popular award program in CSBA’S Golden Bell Award series, the Golden Bell distinction has been recognizing educational programs and organizations for their dedication to student achievement since 1970. This award program promotes excellence in education and school board governance by recognizing outstanding programs and governance practices of school boards in districts and county offices of education throughout California. Golden Bell Awards reflect the depth and breadth of education programs and governance decisions supporting these programs that are necessary to address students’ changing needs.

Applicants are encouraged to submit a robust application that includes a narrative describing the highlighted program and evidence of Board Support. Program candidates have the opportunity to apply for one of twenty-three categories. Awardees are selected on several standards that demonstrate how the program has made a difference for students, is innovative and unique, is sustainable over time, and has concepts that can be replicated.
