CVUSD HOMESponsored by the California Department of Education (CDE) in collaboration with the California Continuation Education Association Plus (CCEA Plus), the fantastic staff of Buena Vista High School was recognized as a 2023 Model Continuation High School during the CCEA Plus 2023 State Conference in San Diego, CA!
Identifying outstanding continuation high schools throughout California, the Model Continuation High School (MCHS) Recognition Program recognizes schools that have adopted successful approaches and practices to serve students whose needs and strengths can be better met within specialized settings. Furthermore, each academic institution is celebrated for using exemplary instructional strategies, flexible scheduling, and guidance and counseling services.
Our Buena Vista Falcons joined 37 other continuation high schools throughout the state in receiving this honor and will hold their title as a Model Continuation High School for the next three years. Currently, the state of California has approximately 430 continuation high schools that serve close to 78,000 students.
