Wickman Elementary Commemorates 20 Years of School Pride
Can you believe Wickman Elementary is twenty years old now? That’s two decades of academic achievement, community spirit, and childhood memories! On March 8th, 2024, Wickman Elementary School celebrated its 20th anniversary with a fun “Back to the Future” themed event.
Students, families, staff, and community members gathered to commemorate 20 years of academic excellence, community spirit, and enjoy a walk down memory lane. The celebration featured exhibitions of Wildcat t-shirts spanning over the years and a gallery of student artwork. An authentic DeLorean even rolled in!
To top off the event, classrooms presented one item to be included in a time capsule that will give future Wildcats a glimpse of students who came before them. Submissions ranged from class photos to posters featuring what’s “in”. Chino Hills City Council member, Brian Johsz also submitted a certificate on behalf of the City.
A week after the celebration, Principal Wilson and Assistant Principal Thompson buried the time capsule, which is not to be opened until 2044.
Thank you to yesterday's, today's, and tomorrow’s staff and community for guiding our students throughout the years. Here's to another 20 years of inspiration, innovation, and academic excellence!
