Attendance Award Winners for Trimester 2 Announced!

We are proud to announce the winners of the 2023-2024 Trimester 2 Attendance Award! Briggs K8, Rhodes ES, Hidden Trails ES, and Wickman ES claimed the shiny, gigantic attendance award trophy for earning the highest average attendance in their respective feeder school group during the second trimester.

Briggs not only achieved a collective 95.96% to claim 1st place among the Don Lugo feeder schools, but our Panthers also had 361 students earn perfect attendance during the month of February, which definitely gave the school a positive boost!

Coming in with 94.6% in the Chino feeder, Rhodes ES classrooms also competed throughout the trimester for the sweet monthly reward of donuts for the class with the best attendance record. Playful banter went back and forth among teachers as Chancellor Large announced the class to capture the taste treat for February. While Professor Uhrich and her 6th graders cheered with joy when their class was announced as the monthly winner, Professor Patel lightheartedly teased that she and her class were hungry for a third win and working to retake the title in March.

In the Ayala feeder, Hidden Trails averaged a 96.75% attendance rate, exceeding the District's overall goal of 96.5%!  Students were also given the opportunity to make-up missed days of instruction during one of three Saturday make-up days. Those who attended Saturday classes had a fantastic time immersing themselves in interactive science lessons and hands-on activities.

It was a close race among Chino Hills feeder schools with Wickman finishing in 1st place with 95.2%. The Wildcats also earned the highest attendance rate for trimester 1, and Dr. Wilson encouraged her students to go for a third straight win as the school continues to prioritize instruction and being in class to learn each and every day.

Congratulations Panthers, Scholars, Red Hawks, and Wildcats! Your steadfast commitment to attend school each day is a testament to your love of learning. Together, we can all encourage each other to attend class regularly to improve academic achievement and help close the achievement gap.
