Ayala Softball Coach Ameluxen Reaches 600th Career Wins!
Coach John Ameluxen’s tenure as Ayala’s only head softball coach keeps reaching new heights! Now in his 34th season, Coach Ameluxen recently notched his 600th and 601st wins as the Bulldogs triumphed over Glendora and Colony High Schools before spring break. This tremendous milestone adds to Coach Ameluxen’s legendary run at Ayala where he has enjoyed 29 seasons with a winning record, 13 league titles, and a 2010 CIF-SS Championship.
Throughout his coaching career, Coach “Ammo” has guided numerous players and witnessed many take their talents to the collegiate level. Even after retiring from Ayala in 2019 as a math teacher, Coach Ameluxen has continued to lead the Bulldogs in the wonderful tradition of “Ayala Softball.” Of course, the job is still not finished as the Bulldogs look to finish the season strong and bring home another CIF championship.
We are rooting for Coach Ameluxen to continue his winning ways and finish another chapter in the storied history of Ayala softball!
