CVUSD HOMEOn April 17, 2024, imaginative special education students shared what it means to dream big and aim high during the Community Advisory Committee’s Annual Art & Writing Showcase that was hosted by the West End Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) in the Chaffey High School Gardener Spring Auditorium in Ontario. Students explored the theme “Reach for the Stars” and used their imagination and creativity in categories that included poetry, essays, photography, visual arts, video, music, and class performances to produce original pieces of work. Families and the community came together to support the exhibitions and cheer on students who performed on stage and earned awards.
Parents and guardians also had the opportunity to nominate teachers and staff members who assist their students on IEPs for the Parent Appreciation Award. Of course, it’s no surprise that several CVUSD staff were recognized for their outstanding work and dedication. Congratulations to all recipients and thank you to those who took time to nominate our amazing staff!
