Eleven Schools Named to CA Honor Roll
Eleven CVUSD Schools Named California Honor Roll Schools
Eleven Chino Valley Unified School District schools have been recognized for their high achievements and student successes by being named to the 2017-2018 Education Results Partnership Honor Roll. This year’s Honor Roll schools are: Butterfield Ranch Elementary, Chaparral Elementary, Country Springs Elementary, Eagle Canyon Elementary, Edwin Rhodes Elementary, Gerald F. Litel Elementary, Liberty Elementary, Michael G. Wickman Elementary, Oak Ridge Elementary, Rolling Ridge Elementary and Woodcrest Junior High.
Chino Valley Unified School District is one of 24 public school districts in California to be recognized. The Honor Roll program, sponsored by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE), is part of a national effort to identify higher-performing schools and districts that are improving student outcomes. School districts that receive the ERP Honor Roll distinction have demonstrated consistent high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time, and a reduction in achievement gaps among student populations.
In identifying Honor Roll schools, ERP utilizes a common set of success factors and date determined through national research. These factors include such things as specific learning objectives aligned to college and career readiness; evidence-based instructional practices; assessment systems to monitor school and student performance; and resources and guidance to support schools’ efforts to prepare all students for college and career.
“Chino Valley Unified School District is committed to providing a quality, 21st century education to every student, regardless of socio-economic background,” said Wayne M. Joseph, Superintendent of Schools. “For our schools to receive this Honor Roll designation from a non-profit organization that uses data-driven success metrics tells us that our practices and programs are truly working.”
