SEMESTER 1 (August 14- December 19)

 

Grading Period 1

 

1. Do you like your book so far? Explain

2. What is the conflict in your book?  Explain.

3. Identify a theme in your book? How is the theme developed in your book? Explain.

4. What would you rate this book? Why?

 

Grading Period 2

 

1. Identify a character in your book. Would you introduce this character to your family? Why? Why not?

2. Identify a conflict in your book. How does this conflict affect the character/s? Explain.

3. Identify a character. Is the character static (unchanging) or dynamic (has changed throughout the course of the novel). Explain.

4. What would you rate this book? Why?

 

Grading Period 3

 

1. Does the book read like a story, a newspaper article, a report, something else? Explain.

2. What is one new fact that you have learned from reading this book? Explain.

3. What is the point/purpose of the book? to share an opinion, explain a topic, tell about a personal journey, or something else? Does the author express the point/purpose well? Explain.

4. What would you rate your book (1-10)? Why? Who would you recommend this book to? Explain.

SEMESTER 2 (January 8th - May 31st)

3. Make predictions about the end of the novel. How do you think the novel will end? Explain.
