Transitional Kindergarten (TK)

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) benefits children who need time to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and/or intellectually. This program acts as a bridge between a pre-school environment and the more structured academic setting of kindergarten.

Transitional Kindergarten gives children the opportunity to learn and access curriculum in a classroom that implements small group and “hands-on” learning in a language-rich environment. 

 

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS
Students eligible for Transitional Kindergarten must have their fifth birthday of the applicable school year between:

  • 2024/2025 - September 2 and June 2

In 2025-2026, and each year thereafter, students eligible for TK must have their fourth birthday by September 1.
