  • Update on Novel Coronavirus

    Chino Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) continues to work closely with and obtain guidance from local, state and federal public health agencies to monitor the latest updates regarding the Novel Coronavirus and ensure the well being of students and staff. Students are required to stay home if they are ill with fever (100 degrees) and may return to school after being free from fever for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication. In keeping with standard best practices, CVUSD schools have continued to encourage the following healthy habits among students and staff:

  • Two CVUSD Schools Recognized as CA Distinguished Schools

    Congratulations to Hidden Trails ES and Liberty ES for being recognized as 2020 CA Distinguished Schools! The award is the highest educational award a school can receive in the state and is given to schools based on performance and progress specified on the California School Dashboard. Both schools are eligible to be recognized as a National Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Distinguished Schools Awardee. Be sure to offer a high-five to all Red Hawks and Patriots you see!

  • Canyon Hills JHS Recognized as a 2020 School To Watch

    Congratulations to Mr. Finkbiner and the rest of the Coyote pack for being recognized as a 2020 School to Watch! The National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform, in association with the California League of Schools, California Department of Education, and California Middle Grades Alliance, identified Canyon Hills JHS as being a leading campus that demonstrates forward thinking and ensures connectivity with peers, teachers, academics, and the school site. Way to go Coyotes!

  • Hit the Greens for Scholarships Golf Tournament is Here!

    It's tee time for the 11th Annual Julie Gobin Memorial Hit the Greens for Scholarships Golf Tournament! Join us on March 2, 2020 at Western Hills Country Club in Chino Hills as the district, community partners and local businesses rally to support graduating CVUSD seniors with generous scholarships to pursue their college education. Since its start, the tournament has helped gift over $275,000 to CVUSD students. This would not be possible without the generous support from our golfers, sponsors, and community. Register today!

  • California Healthy Kids Survey Now Available
    Are you a parent of a student in 5th, 7th, 9th, or 11th grade? The California Healthy Kids Survey is now available for you to complete! This survey assists with identifying problems students face that may pose as barriers to learning. Data gathered also assesses student health and behavior risks while allowing for student feedback on school supports that research has identified as promoting school success.   • Suicide Prevention Awareness Materials Now Available
    September may have been National Suicide Awareness Month, but protecting our youth is a year-long focus. As of 2017, suicide is the second leading cause of death for people ages 10-34 in the U.S. To learn more on how to recognize and assist those in need, please click HERE to access Dr. Dianne Vargas's presentation presented at the February 5th Suicide Prevention Awareness Forum.
