A Message from Superintendent Enfield, Ed.D.
August 12, 2025
Dear Chino Valley USD Families and Staff,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! Throughout the District staff and educators were excited to welcome CVUSD families and students back to campus. To say that the energy has been electrifying is an understatement. While students were relaxing, recharging, and resting over the summer, District staff were busy at work preparing exciting instruction and coordinating collaborative work sessions to better support our young, gifted, and clever students. After dedicating our efforts to igniting student learning last year, we are ready to begin our work to help each and every student THRIVE!
Earlier this summer, the Daily Bulletin announced that Chino Valley USD had been selected as the Inland Empire’s Favorite School District for a second year in a row. We are grateful to have the support and confidence of our community and are looking forward to continuing the wonderful success we have enjoyed over the course of these past years. Our focus on the Essential Standards remains strong to ensure that students receive valuable instruction that aides pragmatic application. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the educators in the classroom who have been extremely pivotal in teaching students what they need to know to confidently move forward with their educational endeavors. I have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of educators throughout my career, but the investment CVUSD teachers make in their pupils is unrivaled.
A strong relationship between home and school is essential and your collaborative communication is greatly appreciated. Please be sure to connect with your student’s outstanding educators to help remain active and engaged this school year. Each and every one of our high-performing school sites has numerous events on campus to encourage student success and involvement, and we would love to have you present for these pleasant activities.
To assist with connecting with parents and families, the District launched its brand-new websites this summer. While staff are always available to take your call or respond to an email, we enthusiastically urge families to reference their school or the CVUSD website for news and forms. Revisions and edits to each website will be ongoing throughout the year to ensure accurate information is always available. While the website may be new, the District can still be found at the same familiar URL: www.chino.k12.ca.us.
Do you love seeing photos and videos of student accomplishments, staff awards, and extracurricular activities? If you do, then you’ll definitely want to follow the District on its social media platforms!

I know that the beginning of a new school year always comes with a “To-Do List” that is a mile long, but I strongly encourage all parents and guardians to complete their child’s Data Confirmation and make necessary revisions. This very important task helps to ensure that emergency contacts, medical conditions, authorizations, and communication preferences are accurate and correct. If this vital process has not been completed or you would like to make a modification, please connect with your school site.
Finally, it is hard to believe how quickly our summer break has passed, but I am looking forward to a year filled with possibilities and supporting CVUSD students reach their full potential. One way to ensure academic success is to practice healthy attendance routines. When students are not present in class to receive fundamental instruction and direction, they increase the possibility of declining academic achievement, fall victim to poor health and overall well-being outcomes, multiply the probability of misbehavior, and risk dropping out of school before reaching their high school graduation. With your support in getting students to class, I know that we will strengthen student confidence, foster positive peer relationships, increase academic success, positively impact post-secondary achievement, and enhance vital life skills.
I am proud to begin another year as the CVUSD Superintendent and appreciate the partnership between school and home. After only one week, I am confident that 2025-2026 will be a school year like no other. Have fun, make memories, and THRIVE!
Sincerely,
Norm Enfield, Ed.D.
