Dear CVUSD Families and Staff,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! It is amazing how quickly time flies. It feels like only yesterday we were saying goodbye and wishing you a happy summer break. Now, we are only four short days away from welcoming back our young scholars to campus! Well, we have been hard at work getting ready for what will surely be an exciting school year, and we are so grateful that you will be joining us for exceptional instruction, outstanding athletics, and numerous memorable moments.

Whether your child is returning to a familiar classroom or beginning a new chapter in the CVUSD, staff and I are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student can learn, grow, and thrive. Our dedicated teachers, staff, and administrators consistently work together to provide our families with an outstanding experience filled with meaningful learning opportunities, enriching events, and strong partnerships, and I am so grateful for their dedication.

I am excited to share that this year’s theme is AMPLIFY! Over the course of the last few years, our team has diligently worked to IGNITE student learning and help students THRIVE. This year, we look to AMPLIFY our successful strategies by strengthening our collaborative partnerships, stellar professional learning communities, and focused efforts. Through our award-winning approaches, the Chino Valley Unified School District will continue to set the bar for K through 12 education!

As families begin to visit campus, I urge you to take a moment and appreciate the dedication of our classified staff. Over the summer months, countless hours were invested in beatifying our sites and preparing them for your return. Custodial teams deep cleaned and sanitized classrooms, transportation personnel repaired and prepped district vehicles, human resources employees filled vacancies with extraordinary professionals, while maintenance and facilities staff repaired school signage, completed asphalt replacements, laid new flooring, installed LED lighting upgrades, and planted new trees. It takes a village to create a safe and welcoming environment for students to flourish, and the CVUSD has one of the strongest villages you will ever find. A huge thanks to all CVUSD employees!

Each year, I like to encourage parents, guardians, friends, and family to stay connected with their student's school by participating in school events and taking advantage of the many resources available throughout our District. I also invite you to stay connected with District updates and happenings by following CVUSD’s official social media platforms:

Make sure your ParentSquare information is also updated with a working email and you set your permissions to receive important and informative information from our staff.

Finally, student safety and well-being remains a solid priority for CVUSD staff and leadership. As students return from summer break and develop their school routine, I strongly encourage them to visit the District’s online One-Stop-Shop. This digital platform offers them resources in four pivotal areas: Social, Emotional, and Mental Health, Bullying and Harassment, Suicide Prevention, and WeTip Anonymous Reporting. While these invaluable resources are available to students whenever they need support, they are always welcomed to connect with trusted district and school personnel. Our community has also seen an increase in the usage of E-bikes and scooters and I would like to share a newly designed flyer created in collaboration with our District’s Risk Management Department. Before your student pushes that pedal, I encourage you and them to review the flyer for best practices and helpful safety information.  

On behalf of the entire District, thank you for being an important part of our school community. We are excited for all that the 2026–2027 school year will bring and wish every student and CVUSD family a successful, rewarding, and memorable year. Remember, your involvement makes a meaningful difference in your child's educational path. Together, we will inspire curiosity, encourage perseverance, and help every student reach their full potential!
