Intradistrict Transfer Information

(School to School Within CVUSD)

The District desires to provide enrollment options that meet the diverse needs and interests of district students and parents/guardians, while also balancing enrollment in order to maximize the efficient use of district facilities.

Intradistrict transfer applications are available year-round through Student Support Services.  Completed applications must be submitted by the student's parent or guardian in person, via fax, U.S. mail, or email to Student_Transfers@chino.k12.ca.us. Only one application per student for a given school year may be submitted and actively considered at a time.

• Waiting List

Intradistrict transfer applications are prioritized on the waiting list based on the order in which they are received, after the completion of intradistrict open enrollment transfers.

• Approval Process

Intradistrict transfer enrollment decisions are based on available space, student academic performance, attendance, and behavioral considerations. School administration may request that parents or guardians provide the student’s transcripts, grades, attendance records, and disciplinary records for review prior to making a decision. Note that approved transfer requests may be revoked due to overcrowding, insufficient academic progress, attendance issues, or behavioral concerns.

Intradistrict transfer applications are accepted throughout the school year for the current academic year. However, until September 30th (when the open enrollment list is active), applications for the following school year will not be considered until all intradistrict open enrollment transfers for that school and grade level have been processed. Parents and guardians will be notified by school staff when a transfer application has been approved for enrollment at the requested school.

Once notified, parents or guardians have ten school days to confirm enrollment with school personnel at the designated school. Failure to confirm within this period will be deemed as a withdrawal of the transfer request, and the application will be considered void.
