Hello Bobcats!
My name is Mrs. Chavez and I am your MTSS-B intervention counselor. I attended California Baptist University where I earned my B.S in Psychology, my Master’s Degree in School Counseling along with my PPS Credential. The 2024-2025 school year will be my 6th year as a school counselor. In my free time, I love to watch football (Go Chargers!), spend time with my family and pets, and I also love to watch my daughter play volleyball. I am so excited about working with the students and families at Oak Ridge!
Our K-12 Intervention Counseling Program is dedicated to the social and emotional growth and well-being of all students through the delivery of data-driven, school-based behavioral interventions and supports that encourage the development of motivated, self-confident, and lifelong learners. Here are some supports we provide at school:
- Classroom Guidance Lessons
- School-wide activities
- Parent workshops
- Small Group Counseling (skills-based)
- Community Referrals
- Individualized short-term counseling (skills-based)
- Outside Referrals
