  • California Healthy Kids Survey

CVUSD students in grades 5, 7, 9 and 11 will participate in the California Healthy Kids Survey between November 1st and December 15th.  The California Dept. of Education requires schools to survey students about alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, school safety, and the learning environment. The survey is anonymous and confidential.

Participation in the survey is voluntary for the student.  We hope that you will encourage your child to participate so that their opinion can be reflected in the district report and be used for program planning.  If you have any questions, please contact       Dr. Sherri Johnson, Director of Health Services at 909-628-1201, ext. 8991.

If you wish to view the survey, you may do so at your school office or on-line at under Health Services Department/2017-18 Calfornia Healthy Kids Survey.

If you do not want your child to participate you can also request the "Withdrawal From the Survey Form"  at the website above.

  • Important After School Student Pick Up Procedures Information

To ensure the utmost safety for our students after school, the following policy must be adhered to:

    1. Students waiting for rides must do so on the South Side or bus turnaround gates. No one is to wait for their ride in front of the school on Campus Ave.

    2. Students who remain on the campus after 2:00 PM will be instructed to report to the library until their ride arrives.  All late rides must have the person picking them up report to the Administration Office.  The Admin Office will then contact the library to have the student meet their ride.    Thank you.

  •  A letter from our new principal:

Dear Students, Parents, and Community Members,

Welcome to Woodcrest Junior High School, home of the Wolverines! I count it an honor to serve as the principal of this great school and to be part of a faculty that supports its students with engaging lessons, high expectations and rigorous instruction, and within a safe environment. We endeavor to provide every student with the tools necessary to succeed here at Woodcrest, as well when they transition to high school, and beyond. Please take confidence in the realization that you and your student are at a wonderful time in their academic life and that the Woodcrest family is dedicated to providing an outstanding educational program with a variety of enrichment activities, as well as intervention programs, adding to everyone’s success.

Of course, our school could not be successful without the dedication and support from the wonderful parents and community members who devote their time and energy to “Wolverine Nation.” Consequently, I encourage every parent to become actively involved in our school programs. “Coffee with Administration” is one opportunity for parent involvement, as it provides a forum to meet with the administration, once per trimester, to discuss and hear about the various school programs.

It is truly a privilege to be a member of this great organization and I wish everyone a successful 2017 – 2018 school year.
