  • Parents and Guardians Gather for the First Parent Information Forum

    CVUSD hosted its first Parent Information Forum of the school year in the Chino High School Multipurpose Room on Wednesday, August 28th. In an area that seats 225 people, the room was full as attendees enjoyed a pizza dinner provided by Nutrition Services and listened to School Resource Officers share information on mental health awareness, drug abuse trends, social media and technology, and so much more. The next parent event scheduled is the Suicide Prevention Awareness training on September 25th at Ayala High School.

  • Ayala High School Crowned 2019 Battle of the Bone Champion

    Chino Hills High School and Ayala High School prepared for battle during the 16th annual Battle of the Bone competition on Saturday, August 24th at Ayala High School. Both team's performance showed why they are such fierce opponents, but when the final whistle blew the Ayala Bulldogs walked off the field as the 2019 Battle of the Bones Champions! With only 7 seconds left to play, the Bulldogs pulled up an amazing win by beating the Husky camp, 29-28. Congratulations to both team for an amazing feat of athleticism, dedication, and school spirit!

  • Chino Hills HS and Ayala HS Football Programs Win $1000 Sponsorship

    Both the Chino Hills Huskey and Ayala Bulldog football programs have been awarded a $1,000 sponsorship, compliments of Moon Valley Nurseries. For the past four years, Moon Valley Nurseries has offered 10 schools with the most nominations a $1,000 sponsorship that can be used for equipment, uniforms, or whatever else their program needs before their season kicks off. Congratulations Huskies and Bulldogs!

  • Woodcrest JHS Named Microsoft Showcase School Two Years in a Row

    Congratulations to CVUSD’s Woodcrest JHS for receiving the prestigious designation as a Microsoft Showcase School for the second year in a row and continuing their commitment to empowering educators and students to re-imagine and re-design leading, teaching and learning in their school and the region. Woodcrest JHS is one of only four school sites in California given the title of a being a Microsoft Showcase School. They join a global community of approximately 290 school sites across 61 countries that amplify the use of technology to drive school-wide transformation and efficiencies by using Microsoft’s K-12 Education Transformation Framework.

  • FREE Course on Mental Health and Illness
    NAMI Basics is a no cost class for parents or caregivers of children who have symptoms of or have been diagnosed with mental illness (such as, ADD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder).   • Board of Education Meetings Move to 6 p.m.
    Beginning Thursday, September 5, 2019, Board of Education meetings will begin at 6 p.m. in the boardroom at the District office. The change in time from 7 p.m. to 6 p.m. was approved during the August 15th BOE meeting. District neighbors and community leaders are invited to learn more about Board policies, meetings, and agenda items by visiting the Board of Education webpage.
