Risk Management and Human Resources
Jaime Ortega, Director
Chino Valley Unified School District is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all students, staff, and guests. In Risk Management, it is our goal to help support the CVUSD mission of "student achievement, safe schools and positive school climate" through effective risk financing and risk control strategies that allow us to focus resources in the classroom.
What We Do:
Loss Control - District staff works directly with sites and departments in identifying risks and correcting conditions that may pose a potential for injury or loss.
Workers' Compensation - A safe working environment is our number one priority. However, should an accident or injury occur we want to ensure that our employees receive prompt effective medical treatment.
Injury and Illness Prevention - Improving workplace safety and health, creating better morale, increasing productivity, and reducing the costs of doing businesses.
Property and General Liability Claims - Claims against the district must be filed through the Risk Management office. The district works diligently to investigate all claims to ensure that funds are not unnecessarily diverted away from student education.
