Facilities, Planning, and Operations
The Facilities, Planning, and Operations Department plans and coordinates the development of new construction, modernization and renovation of district facilities, manages the district's application process for state and federal facility funds, reviews demographic data for enrollment projections, evaluates attendance boundaries, administers the developer fee certification process and Community Facilities District formations. It also oversees the general obligation bond program, cash management ands debt service program, as well as the departments listed below. Maintenance and Operations
The Maintenance and Operations Department is responsible for repairing and maintaining approximately 2.7 million square feet of classrooms and buildings, 269 acres of turf and 4 swimming pools. In maintaining and enhancing buildings, grounds and the physical infrastructure, we provide an effective approach to asset management for sustaining CVUSD facilities at the highest level as long as possible. Purchasing/Warehouse
The Purchasing Department fulfills the District's fiduciary responsibility to oversee prudent expenditure of District funds. To best serve District interests, effective purchasing procedures consistent with sound financial controls are developed and maintained to ensure maximum value for items purchased. Transportation
The Transportation Department provides safe and efficient transportation for District students to and from school as necessary to ensure student access to the educational program, promote regular attendance and reduce tardiness. Provision of transportation services depends upon student and community needs and a continuing assessment of financial resources. The CVUSD Transportation Department professionally delivers safe, prompt, dependable, efficient, and cost-effective services to the needs of students, staff, and the community.
