Welcome! I am honored to serve the Chino Valley Adult School as Principal. I have been in education for over twenty-four years. I have served Chino Valley Unified in the capacity as an administrator at the Adult School, Boys Republic, Junior high, and Elementary level. I have also been an Instructional Coach for English Language Arts at two junior highs, an English Language Arts teacher for grades 7-8, and an elementary teacher for grades K-6. I believe “Every Story Matters,” have a passion for students and learning, believe that all students can achieve, and look forward to supporting students with a relevant and rigorous curriculum that will prepare them to learn English, get their Citizenship, High School Diploma/GED, college, career, and beyond.
The Chino Valley Adult School staff remain passionate and hardworking and are one of the reasons why excellence is prevalent amongst our campus’ Academics and Programs. I am honored to work with an outstanding staff who is dedicated to your success.

We have many programs on our campus to help you achieve your goals. Citizenship, High School Diploma (HSD)/General Education Development (GED), and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are available if you are interested. Instructional aides who speak Spanish, Chinese, and Korean languages help teachers regularly in our ESL classes. We even offer Typing and Excel classes throughout the year; as well as, work with Chaffey College to offer courses in EMT and HVAC. Come visit and sign up to learn with us today! Assistant Principal - Thomas Hutchinson

Thomas Hutchinson brings over 20 years of experience in education, including 7 years as an administrator, to his role on the Chino Valley Adult School team. He is excited and pleased to contribute to and preserve the school’s outstanding tradition. Graduating from Weber State University with his undergraduate degree, he continued his educational journey by completing two Master’s Degrees from the University of Phoenix. Beginning his career as a coach and guidance counselor at Syracuse High School in Utah, he later served as the department chair at a middle school in the same district. While there, he established a multicultural club that served as an example for the district, including a multicultural choir and dance group, for which he was awarded the middle school educator of the State of Utah. He served as President of Davis School District’s counselor’s association. Moving to California, Mr. Hutchinson served as the Principal of Stone Ridge Academy, a Special Education School, for two years. He also worked in the Alford School District as an assistant principal at Hillcrest High School. Mr. Hutchinson’s diverse background and unwavering dedication make him a valuable asset as he endeavors to support and guide the Chino Valley Adult School community.
