I started my teaching career in the Ontario-Montclair School District in 1996. I came to Chino Valley Unified in 1999 because I wanted to teach where my children went to school. I taught at Los Serranos for 7 years, and I am starting my 15th year at Chaparral. I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th (along with 8 weeks of 1st...no thanks!  LOL), but my heart is in 4th since I am a total California history buff!  
 
My education came from the fabulous Placentia Unified School District, Fullerton College and CSUF where I received degrees in Child Development and Psychology. My teaching credential is from Chapman University, and my GATE Certification was earned through UCSD. 
 
I live in Chino Hills with my husband of 31 years, Joey, my 3 children - TJ (28), an aerospace engineer (rocket scientist), Hanna (26) entering her Master's program in Organizational Pyschology and serves at the Kickin' Crab, and my youngest, Emily (22), a Senior at Fresno State University (she also sat in this very classroom and loved Chaparral!) I cannot leave out my best buddies, Levi, our Rhodesian Ridgeback, Sadie Hawkins, our lab-pittie girl, and our college student pup, Cali (IG - @QueenCalifia).
