Assignments: How/ When Students will submit their work:
We will use Google classroom occasionally to turn in your work
* ELA: We will be using our curriculum McGraw Wonders ConnectEd We will also have some ELA assignments through our Google Classroom.
*Math: -
- For 4th grade- we will be using Savvas (formerly known Pearson) curriculm (through Classlink).
*Writing: You will be given a prompt through Google Classroom to submit when assigned.
*PE: We will complete 2 hours a week of PE
*History and Science: Weekly assignments using our textbook
Assessments:
Assessments will take place on a weekly basis through our curriculum websites (Savvas or Big Ideas Math, Wonders, and Google Classroom).
Feedback/Grading:
- Savvas or Big Ideas Math and Wonders will provide feedback on assignments and assessments, if applicable. Work completed and submitted on Google Classroom will be assessed by the teacher and comments will be given as needed.
- Parents will be invited to be a guardian in Google Classroom. As a guardian, parents can receive a weekly summary of their student's assignments. Please look for a post in my ANNOUNCEMENT section for more information.
- Students and parents can view grades and any missing assignments in Google Classroom.
- Grades can be viewed in the Aeries portal.
Our grading system has made a couple changes:
4 Extending – Student has an in-depth understanding of grade level
performance standards expected at this point of the year.
3 Achieving – Student is consistently meeting the grade level performance
standards expected at this point of the year.
2 Progressing – Student is partially meeting the grade level performance
standards expected at this point of the year.
1 Beginning – Student is not yet meeting grade level performance standards
expected at this point of the year.Participation:
It is a requirement for all students to participate and complete all assignments/ assessments.
