Mrs. Lisa Martinez

Hello! I am Ms. Lisa Martinez and I am so happy to be your teacher for ESL Level 1.  

My teaching experience includes teaching a diverse group of students at all ages, backgrouds and learning levels.  From kindergarten and elementary grades to young adults at the jr. community college level.  My teaching philosophy is to provide a nurturing, dynamic environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, participate in collaborative groups, explore new strategies and make new discoveries, thereby improving their English Language Development.

Outside of school I am very active with my community church; I volunteer in the Sunday School program. My hobbies include reading, gardening, collecting authentic Mexican food recipes, and cooking.  I also love to explore parks, go camping and hiking with my family.

I am so happy to have you in my class.  I know that together, you will learn new skills, get to practice your English and make improvements toward reaching your goal to further your ability to speak, read and write English.
