• Welcome to Miss Keane's Classroom

I am committed to responding to/acknowledging all student and parent emails within 24 hours during contract hours ( 8:30 - 3:30 PM).

I teach two classes....World Culture 7th grade and an elective, Civic Literacy 7th grade.

All assignments will be posted and submitted via Google Classroom for both courses.  Students need to check their work folder if they are absent and make up any work while not at school. They will have a few days after they return to turn in any missed work. They need to ask or email me if they have any questions about completing and turning in the work.

World Culture Course - Expectations - Bring a notebook, agenda and pencil  to class. Students will have time to complete/edit/review most assignments as homework after we have started them in class. Due dates are discussed in class and noted on the Google assignments. There is a 2 day grace period  to allow for absences, modifications, tech issues and such. Please be respectful of deadlines.

Civic Literacy Course - Expectations - Bring a pencil, agenda  and colored pencils to class. I provide the sketchbook that we do most of our work in for them.

Reworking a low (60 or less) score, including a zero, needs to happen WITHIN 5 days of the due date or returning to school for full credit.

    Grades: 40%   -   Classwork.......

                  60%   -   Projects....Assessments....Tests

Grades and missing assignments are posted in Google Classroom and Aeries for both courses.

Both courses write the learning target/focus of the day into their agenda. This is a great place to look to see if they are following directions and staying on task with our morning routines. You can also ask them to pull up their view my work folder for the week and it will show all of their assignments, scores, and missing work. You can also scroll back and see the previous work/scores/assignments from prior weeks.

Here is a link to our virtual text book for our World Culture Class.  Students use this book frequently and it is  the same text they checked out from the library.    Our Civic Literacy class uses a book that is posted in Google Classroom  that they can access from home for assignments. We have a class set that we read from in class.
