               The Linenberger Family                               Fight On!

    • I am overjoyed to be your K-6 Intervention Counselor at Briggs. I am Ginny Linenberger (the kiddos know me as Dr. L) and I have enjoyed a career in the field of education spanning nearly two decades. I have served as a Counselor, Special Day Class Teacher, Resource Specialist, and Teacher on Special Assignment, in multiple capacities. I started my journey with Chino Valley USD as a teacher at Chino Hills HS and also coached the Women's Tennis Team for several years. I've also enjoyed serving as a Mentor Teacher and Adjunct Instructor for the Los Angeles County Office of Education in their Teacher Education Program since 2014. I earned my doctorate from the University of Southern California in Educational Psychology. Additionally, I hold two Master's Degrees and Credentials in Educational Counseling and Special Education, completed at Azusa Pacific University and California State University, Los Angeles. Most recently, I completed the Women's School Leadership Academy at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2021. I am a firm believer that we are always learning, and we never reach an age or achievement level where learning ceases to exist. My Bachelor's degree, earned in 2002 from Azusa Pacific University was in Psychology, with a minor in History. Some fun facts about me are that I was a college athlete in X-Country and have run the L.A. Marathon multiple times. I've also gone skydiving, bungee jumping, ziplined upside down through the rainforest, and enjoyed scuba diving in coral reefs in the South Pacific. I love a good adventure and the memories that accompany it. In my free time, I most enjoy spending time with my family. My husband has been in the field of education for over 20 years, and we have two boys, who are 13 and 16. I enjoy watching their football, basketball, and soccer games as well as their Swim and Track meets. We also love board games, cooking together, and family movie nights.
