Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

Welcome Wildcats! My name is Mrs. Shen. I am so happy to be your teacher this year. The first day of school is Monday, August 5th. Our classroom is Room 20. On the first day of school, I will be waiting for you on the blacktop. I will be holding a green balloon so you can easily find me. School begins at 7:50, but the gates will open at 7:30 every day.  Since school ends at 2:30, you will want to bring a snack and a water bottle every day. For the first two weeks, all first-graders will be supervised at the end of the day by a first grade teacher until they are picked up from school. Thursday is our minimum day with dismissal at 11:20. 

First Grade Supply List

• Plastic Pencil Box approximately 5x8
• 1 -12 pack colored pencils
• 1 - 24 pack crayons
• 2 black Expo markers
• 12 #2 sharpened pencils
• 1 yellow highlighter
• 1 large pink eraser
• 1 pair of children's scissors
• 1 pair inexpensive WIRED earbuds or headphones 
• 1 labeled, reusable water bottle with sports cap or straw top

Optional, but appreciated

• 1 box of Kleenex
• Clorox wipes
• Baby wipes
