    Currently enrolled CVAS students who want to study using GED Academy from home can access their accounts through this link:  https://www.essentialed.com/start/chino 
    The GED is one way to earn the equivalent of a high school diploma, called a GED certificate, by passing four subject tests on computer in English or Spanish.

    To take the GED, do the following:

    • Create your account at: ged.com
    • Pay fees through the website. School will not collect fees.
    • California fee for testing is $140 ($35 per subject)
    • Testing Schedule*:
      • Monday and Wednesday 12-6 pm
      • Friday 8 am - 2 pm.

    Bring a valid state issued or government picture ID to register. The ID needs to include the applicant's photo, name, address, date of birth and signature.

    *A computer in the school office will be available for students who need computer access for the purpose of registering to take the test.

    To enroll for the GED preparation online learning program:

    • Register at our office
      • M-Th 8:00am - 5:30pm
      • Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm

    You will complete an assessment when you register for GED Prep Class which can help your teacher know how to assist you.  After you attend a minimum of 12 hours of preparation classes you will take another assessment before taking the GED test. These evaluations help to prepare you to succeed on the GED.  Please notify the teacher when you have attended at least 12 hours so your teacher can evaluate your improvement.
