Eagle Canyon PTA is very excited to support Accelerated Reader (AR) for the 2020-2021 school year. The four guiding principles of AR allow students to cultivate a love of reading in a way designed to make reading fun and exciting. Students will be "guided" by personalized goals, "engaged" with individualized reading recommendations. They will "practice" reading through different modalities and will take quizzes to test what they know. Finally, they will "grow" in their reading abilities as they master the California State Standards. 

Continuing for the 2022-2023 school year is "Core Essentials." Core Essentials is a character education program with a monthly value teaching kids, parents, and staff how to treat others right, make smart decisions, and maximize potential. The PTA is excited to see the growth in students this year. 

The PTA is excited to renew IXL for the 2020-2021 school year. IXL is an extremely valuable resource comprised of a comprehensive curriculum to support individualized learning for each student. It has a real-time diagnostic component showing what students know currently and what they need to work on. It also offers personalized guidance helping fill the gaps in the knowledge students already know. Finally, it gives teachers insight into educational decisions most beneficial for their students. 

The Eagle Canyon PTA is so excited to support The Safe School Ambassadors® Program (SSA) this year. SSA is an evidence-based program that harnesses the power of students to prevent and stop bullying and mistreatment. It is considered a social-emotional learning program (SEL) and has been approved by many school districts as meeting their required criteria.
