    Dear Howard University Families,

Welcome to 6th grade and what promises to be an amazing year for your Scholar. We are Howard University located in room 17.  I am very excited to be your child’s teacher and for all the wonderful things we will accomplish together this year.  Your child’s education is a partnership I am excited to be a part of.  I hope you all had a fantastic summer break and are ready to jump right in.  Please visit our class website to keep up to date on important information about our class and Rhodes. Please see PARENT SQUARE for all important communication.

To help your child keep class work, notes, and homework assignments in an orderly manner, and to assist your child with his/her daily schoolwork, you can find a suggested supply list on our Howard University classroom page and at the bottom of this letter.

Mark your calendar for two important upcoming dates. Wednesday, August 14th,  we will be holding a Science Camp Parent Meeting at 6:00 in the Student Union. Tuesday, August 20th is Rhodes’ Parent Collegiate Night (a.k.a. Back to School Night).  I hope you will all be able to join us.

Scholars will need to have their Chromebooks in class every day beginning on the first day of school.  Their devices should be fully charged and ready to go. I can’t wait to see all my Scholars on Monday morning.

    Sincerely,

    Ms. Patel
