    Introduction Letter 

     
    Dear Wickman Second Grader,
     
    Hello!  I am Mrs. Wogahn, your teacher at Wickman Elementary School.  We will be starting the year in
    room 21, on Monday, August 5, 2024.  I am really looking forward to this year. I hope you are too!  
     
    Second Grade will be full of fun and exciting experiences. You will make new friends and learn many new and interesting things.  By the end of the school year, you will be amazed at how much you've learned!  
     
    It will be important for you to get plenty of rest the night before school begins.  Make sure you get to bed early!  When you wake up in the morning, have a good breakfast.  Since you will be having lunch a little later than you did in First Grade, you might want to pack a healthy snack for our 10 o'clock recess.  In addition, to help you be well-prepared, please remember to bring your school supplies. 
     
    When you arrive at school, you should hang your backpack on the cart next to our classroom and then go out to the playground until it's time for school to begin.  Once the bell rings, I will meet you on the blacktop at our #21.  Please go over how your child will be getting home on the first day.
