Mrs. Lao - Principal
Emily_Lao@chino.k12.ca.us
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. I am honored to introduce myself as the new Principal at Michael G. Wickman Elementary School. I’m happy to join this exceptional team where staff and community come together for the excellence of all students. As a seasoned educator of over 30 years, I’ve learned that every school has its own unique set of traditions and I’m eager to learn everything that makes Wickman special. Being a life-long learner, I truly value the power of education and am committed to making the time your children spend at Wickman, years they will cherish always. A great school such as Wickman happens when staff and families work together. I encourage you to get involved by attending school functions and volunteering for leadership roles such as School Site Council, ELAC, GATE and other parent committees. Our “Meet the Teacher” event on August 2nd is a great way to start the year off on a positive note. I understand and appreciate the trust parents extend to schools when they drop children off each day and I assure you my greatest priority will always be your child's safety. I’m looking forward to meeting each of you and I welcome opportunities to collaborate as we work together throughout the 2024-2025 school year.
Sincerely,
Emily Lao
