WHY?

The goal of evaluating student performance is to give students and parents feedback regarding the student's current level of mastery.

HOW?

In the virtual classroom, the most authentic way of assessing levels of mastery are through student work samples, video reflections, and through citing evidence within a narrative, informative, or explanatory text.

WHAT?

Because it is impossible to replicate a brick-and-mortar classroom testing environment, traidtional testing methods will only be used to inform next steps in a student or students' learning path. To monitor your child's progress please begin with Aeries Parent Portal. Pay special attention to missing assignments as they work samples that I am using to assess a student's level of mastery. You are also encouraged to have your child log in to Google Classroom, Wonders (English Language Arts), and Big Ideas (Math). All of these can be found through your child's Class Links account.
