Course Overview:
Students are provided the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in individual as well as team-based sports and activities. The course consists of the following sports/activities, but is not limited to: Basketball, Beat Ball, Flag Football, Four Square, Hockey, Over-the-Line, Soccer, Table Tennis, Volleyball and Walkabout Wednesdays.
Guidelines:
Proper athletic footwear is required for all classes (Students will not be allowed to participate for safety reasons without proper footwear). Proper footwear includes socks with sneakers, tennis shoes or non-metal cleats for field use. Improper footwear includes flip-flops, thongs, sandals, slippers, open-toed dress shoes and boots.
Medical excuses are only granted with a doctor’s note. A note from a parent is not a medical excuse. All doctor’s notes must be turned in to the nurse. A copy of the note will be made to give to Mr. Killinger.
Electronic devices may be confiscated if they become a distraction in class.
Expectations:
Students are expected to complete assignments.
Students are expected to participate in all classes.
Students are expected to behave appropriately.
Students are expected to respect others.
Students are expected to come prepared to all classes.
Students are expected to have fun!
Grading
Points based on Assignments, Attendance, Attitude, Behavior, Citizenship and Participation
A+ = 60 – 58, A = 57.5 – 56, A- = 55.5 – 54, B+ = 53.5 – 52, B = 51.5 – 50,
B- = 49.5 – 48, C+ = 47.5 – 46, C = 45.5 – 44, C- = 43.5 – 42, NG = 41.5 – 0
