Mr. Burke

Hello, everyone!

My name is Sean Burke and this is my second year teaching as an RSP teacher. I received my Associate's Degree from San Joaquin Valley College in Medical Assisting, my Bachelor's in Criminal Justice from University of Phoenix, my first Master's in Criminal Justice Management from University of Phoenix and my second Master's in Special Education from National University! 

In past lives, I have been a nurse, Starbucks barista, professional scareactor for Halloween events, geriatric in home support provider, before and after school teacher and substitute teacher before becoming a full time special education teacher. 

I enjoy traveling, theme parks, anything Halloween related, musicals, and a variety of different movies, books and television shows (Harry Potter, Star Wars and Stranger Things to name a few!). My favorite place to shop is Amazon (because they have everything!) and I am not very picky when it comes to food and drinks, however, I have a fondness for coffee, tea and Reece's Peanut Butter Cups. 

Every October, I partake in my second job, which is building Halloween mazes for the community I live in. I have been doing that for 20+ years and have enjoyed every minute of it. 

My hope for all of my students it that they are able to overcome any personal and societal stigmas they may have picked up over the years and understand that they have the power to do anything they put their mind to. They can shoot for the stars and make it because they hold the key to their success, and I am there to ensure it.
