HOMEWORKDuring the school year homework will be given in two manners. Math homework will be given on a nightly basis. Students will have two options on most nights. There will be a "challenge" and a "regular" assignment. There will also be a homework folder that goes home on Monday. This will include a listening assignment, spelling, CGI math and various language arts assignments. There will also be various language arts homework assignments given on a nightly basis. These will mainly be done through the student portals of the McMillan McGraw Hill textbook. Giving a weekly folder allows for assignments with more depth and for students to manage their time in getting the folder completed by Friday.
ARDuring the school year your child will use Accelerated Reader. This is a program that tests students on books they have read. Students will be required to get 25 points each trimester. You can measure their progress and get alerts through AR. The document below has all the information. AR Home Connect
