RSP stands for Resource Specialist Program.  RSP is a service to assist students who have learning deficits.  

 

RSP students will receive services through the inclusion or push-in model.  Students are receiving services, just in a different way. Through this model, students are not pulled out (generally) and the rest of the class benefits from having two teachers in the classroom at the same time.  This way students are exposed to core curriculum and they are not missing important skills needed for their grade level.

 

All services are done within the school day and does not count when the student is absent, on a field trip, at an assembly, or any other school function that requires the student to attend.
