  • State Report Requirements:

    You must create a brochure on your state.  Please include the following information:

    State name and nickname
    Date of admission and number state into the union
    State bird, flower, insect, motto, tree
    State flag (picture)
    Map of state (just the state outline, or use a map of the US with your state highlighted)
    Native plants and animals
    Capital
    Population
    *Major cities
    National parks and monuments
     
    *not required, just ideas

    This is an advertisement.  Make me WANT to visit your state.

  • Native American Project:

    You are to create a 3D Village on your chosen Native American tribe.  
     
     
    Required Research:
    Buildings (type of house)
    Landscape (hills, mountains, trees, rivers, glaciers, etc)
    Food Source (animals, crops, etc)
    Tools (spears, canoes, fire, etc)
    Economy (how did they make a living/what did they trade)
    Other (any important facts that we need to know about your tribe)

    *This information will be written down and displayed on your village

    ***Your history book should be your main​ source of information***
     
    Your village should include:
    Buildings
    Appropiate Landscape
    Food source (crops, animals or both)
    Tools
     
     
    Classroom supplies available:

    construction paper
    popsicle sticks
    cotton balls
    air dry clay 
    *We will walk to the park to collect sticks, rocks, sand, etc.
     
    *I will hot glue items down if necessary*
