Good Evening Parents, Professors and Scholars,
After analyzing our recent lockdown situation, we realized that having only digital files for student emergency release information may not be sufficient. Tomorrow every child will take home an emergency release card on which you may indicate those individuals who are allowed to pick up your child in the case of a serious emergency such as a large earthquake or a lockdown that goes well beyond dismissal time. The paper release cards will only be used in case of a serious emergency, and will not supersede what is in the Aeries parent portal. Please complete this important safety information and return it to school with your child by Friday.
Below are a few important announcements about the upcoming week of October 4-8.
Monday 10/4
- 3:40pm Color Guard tryouts (quad)
- 5:30pm PEP Club meeting (Student Union)
Tuesday 10/5 - Minimum day
All week: Book Fair in the Bookery. Your child’s professor will let you know their designated time Monday through Wednesday. In addition, students with cash or eWallet funds may shop during their breaks on Thursday and Friday. All funds raised during the Book Fair support our Scholastic subscriptions and books for the library!
I look forward to seeing each of you next week! At Rhodes we are committed to children, committed to community and committed to excellence. Have a wonderful evening!
