What can you do at home to help your child succeed?
Read, read, read!!! Reading is the best thing you can do to help your child grow their academic skills. If your child is a hesitant reader, try audiobooks. Listening to stories, hearing new vocabulary, and following along will help your child grow too! Audiobooks are a wonderful way to help a hesitant reader develop a love of reading.
You can access free digital and audiobooks through our local county library on the Libby app. Stop by our Chino branch library and they will be glad to help you. Some ideas for busy families: read a digital book or listen to an audiobook at bedtime, before school, while eating breakfast, on the way to school, on the way home from school, on the way to athletic practice, etc.
Epic Reading
You can access Epic reading for free Monday-Friday from 7am-3pm. Use our class code to access thousands of digital books!
