How is your child feeling during Distant Learning?

How is your child feeling?

  •

Children need social-emotional skills to thrive both in the classroom and in life. Social-emotional learning (SEL) curricula teach children techniques to:

    • Gain confidence
    • Set goals
    • Make better decisions
    • Collaborate with others at work and play
    • Navigate the world more effectively

It is important to constantly assess the state of your child's social-emotional health as well as their physical well-being.

Invite your child to talk about their feelings and fears. Some children may have difficulty expressing how they are feeling with words. Use the "Feelings Chart" to help your child find the right words to identify how they are feeling. Help your child to understand that their feelings are valid.

Do daily "Social-Emotional" check-ins with your child.
