Read 180 and System 44 are Reading Intervention Programs for the struggling reader. Math 180 is an Intervention Program for students struggling with basic math foundational concepts.
After taking a placement test, students will be placed in either Read 180 or System 44. Both programs have proven to work. Students who enter the program unable to read gradually experience success and become readers. Data from schools across the country show that many READ 180/System 44 students frequently improve their reading levels by 2–5 years of growth.
Read 180- Focuses on reading comprehension, spelling, fluency, vocabulary, and writing
- Computer Based Program – should be completed at least 3 times a week for 25 – 30 minutes.
- Requires speaker access (headphones with a mic)
- Works best on Google Chrome
- This will be an essential part of class, which will be assigned as homework or classwork a minimum of three times a week.
System 44
- Focuses on phonics, decoding, high frequency sight word recognition, spelling, fluency, and vocabulary
- Computer Based Program – should be completed at least 3 times a week for 25 – 30 minutes.
- Requires speaker access (headphones with a mic)
- Works best on Google Chrome
- This will be an essential part of class, which will be assigned as homework or classwork a minimum of three times a week.
Math 180
MATH 180 is a revolutionary math intervention program designed to address the needs of struggling students and their teachers equally, building students' confidence with mathematics and accelerating their progress to algebra.
- Developed for students working to gain ground who are two or more years behind in math. The program focuses on building the foundational skills required to successfully transition to Alegbra.
- Computer Based Program – should be completed at least 2/3 times a week for 25 – 30 minutes.
- Requires speaker access (headphones with a mic)
- Works best on Google Chrome
- This will be an essential part of class, which will be assigned as homework or classwork a minimum of three times a week.
