• Mrs. Seto Welcomes you

Welcome to Mrs. Seto's 2023-2024 English 7 and Study Skills Classroom!

I'm excited about teaching 7th and 8th grade this year! I'll be teaching English-7 and Study Skills for both 7th/8th graders!  Additionally, I'm glad to announce I will be co-teaching English again this year with Mrs. Riley! I'm really sorry summer is over, but I'm looking forward to starting this year and meeting you!  If you had me last year, I wanted to let you know I've moved across campus. Visit me in my new room - room 317, just outside the Media Center.

Here is a little background information about me.  I have been teaching for 6 years now.  Before becoming a teacher, I worked as an Instructional Aide at various school sites within the district, including Wickman/Oak Ridge Elementary, Ramona Junior High School, and Don Lugo High School. I found a love for working with kids in the Special Education Department. I believe all people can learn, some require more tools to access the material, but we can all get there together!

I have a BA from Cal State LA and a M.Ed. from National University.  I live in Chino Hills with my husband and my two daugthers.  Both my daughters went to school here in Chino Valley. I love spending time with my family, watching T.V., reading, and crafting.  I watch a lot of sports, especially basketball, football, and horseracing. We are UCLA Bruin fans!!!  I like trying new things, such as para-sailing and riding in hot air balloons! My two favorite places are the beach and Disneyland. Did I mention I love Mickey Mouse and all things Disney? One of my favorite things to do is walk around Disneyland with my friends.  My favorite ride is Space Mountain.

My goal is to create an environment that makes you feel comfortable, valued, and heard. I will encourage a growth mindset and positivity.  Work is designed to challenge (not frustrate) you. It won't always be easy, you'll have to put in effort, but I promise you, I will encourage you to never give up and I will help you along the way.  It's never too late to follow your dreams.

One of the reasons I love Disney so much is because of Walt Disney's story. Did you know when Walt Disney first created Mickey Mouse, he was told he had no creativity? Walt never gave up. He worked hard and believed in himself. Now, his company is a multi-billion dollar business. I encourage you to always follow your dreams.  You never know where it can take you!

I look forward to meeting you! Canyon Hills is a great place to be!

    ❤️
