  • Welcome to Glenmeade Elementary, home of the Roadrunners.  It is my great pleasure to join Glenmeade as your new principal for the 2023-2024 school year.  I look forward to meeting the families and students, supporting the learning and growth of the school, and learning about all that makes Glenmeade special. I have been made aware of the wonderful and unique community here at Glenmeade and am honored to serve as your principal.

The construction of Glenmeade’s new office is well underway.  We may need to adjust some of the routines that may be familiar as the construction unfolds.  The project promises to bring great results for Glenmeade while we are patiently flexible in the meantime.

Professionally, this is my 24th year in education, and it is my deep desire and passion to provide students with an education that supports their personal and academic growth so that all students can achieve their highest potential.  I have a masters degree in elementary curriculum and instruction and spent the first 13 years of my career in the classroom as an elementary school teacher.  From there, I had the privilege of supporting, training, and mentoring teachers in all subjects from preschool to high school as a teacher on special assignment and a new teacher induction supervisor.  Five years ago, my family moved deeper into the inland empire and I served as the principal of Newman Elementary School in Chino.

On a personal note, my husband and I have 3 boys, 3 dogs, and a goldfish.  We have just finished the elementary school journey with our boys and they will enter the 7th, 9th, and 11th grades this school year.

I look forward to partnering with you to give our students the BEST!

    Respectfully,

    Mrs. Lisa Madera, Glenmeade Principal
