Miss Torres

I have been working for the Chino Valley Unified School district and Woodcrest since January 2011. In reality, I have been a part of the CVUSD family since I was a second-grader at Levi Dickey Elementary. I attended Woodcrest Jr. High, and yes, I do work with some of my former teachers. After Woodcrest, I went to Chino High School, then I attended Orange Coast College (a community college) in Costa Mesa and earned an A.A. in General Education. After OCC, I transferred to Cal State University, San Bernardino. During my five years there, I earned a B.A. in Sociology and an M.S. in Educational Counseling and Guidance.

It has been a rewarding experience being able to come back to my community and give back as an educator. To come back to Woodcrest and work as the Intervention Counselor has been personally fulfilling because when I was in 7th grade, I decided to become a School Counselor and help students succeed. I like to think of it as coming full circle in my life. If you or your student have any questions throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to ask. I can be reached by phone (909.923.3455), email (isabel_torres@chino.k12.ca.us), or stop by the office (when it is safe to do so again ;)).
