Miss Torres

I have worked for the Chino Valley Unified School District and Woodcrest since January 2011. I have been a part of the CVUSD family since second grade at Levi Dickey Elementary. I attended Woodcrest Jr. High, and yes, I did work with some of my former teachers. I went to Chino High School, and then after graduation, I attended Orange Coast College (a community college) in Costa Mesa and earned an A.A. in General Education in 2004. I then transferred to Cal State University, San Bernardino, where I earned a B.A. in Sociology (2006) and an M.S. in Educational Counseling and Guidance (2010).

It has been a rewarding experience to come back to my community and give back as an educator. Returning to Woodcrest and working as the Academic Intervention Counselor has been fulfilling because, in 7th grade, I decided to become a School Counselor and help students succeed. I like to think of it as coming full circle in my life. If you or your student have questions throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to ask.
