How to calculate your Grade Point Average (G.P.A.)
Step 1: Convert all the letters into numbers
For each “A” you get (it doesn’t matter if it is a + or -), 4 points
For each “B” you get (it doesn’t matter if it is a + or -), 3 points
For each “C” you get (it doesn’t matter if it is a + or -), 2 points
For each “D” you get (it doesn’t matter if it is a + or -) 1 point
For each “F,” you get 0 points
Step 2: Add all the numbers together
If the sum or total is between 12 and 17, congratulations. Your G.P.A. range is between 2.00 and 2.83.
If the sum or total is between 18 and 23, congratulations. Your G.P.A. range is between 3.00 and 3.83.
Step 3: Divide the sum or total by the number of classes you earn a grade in (Find the Average).
For example, 14÷6=2.33 or 20÷6=3.33 **if you are a T.A., you will divide it by 5**
