About NJHS
The National Junior Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level (junior high level) students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1929.

Today, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in official Honor Society activities. NHS and NJHS chapters are found in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, many U.S. territories, and Canada. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

Every 7th and 8th grade student that earns a 3.50 GPA or higher on the 1st trimester report card will receive an invitation to join the National Junior Honor Society. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.50 or above to stay in NJHS.
Some of the NJHS events that members haven chosen to plan:
    • E-waste Drive
    • Earth Day (campus clean-up)
    • Mix-It-Up Day
    • Cards & Candy for our Troops (NJHS members chose to donate 50% of their halloween candy to send to our troops)
    • Spark of Love (Toy Drive)
    • Jeans for Teens
    • Fundraisers to offer Student Scholarships for the end of the year 8th grade field trip to Knott's Berry Farm.
